‘Open for All’ days on Friday and Saturday
DUBAI 10 November 2017: Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) is set to transform Burj Park into an outdoor gym this weekend, with four mobile fitness units equipped to provide Dubai’s residents and visitors an incredible range of workout options in the fresh air, taking in amazing views of the Burj Khalifa and Downtown skyline.
Featuring everything from rowing machines, CrossFit trainers and weights equipment, to a skate park and parkour training facility, as well as dedicated kids’ play and fitness zones, the setup promises to offer something for everyone, no matter their age or level of fitness.
The highlight of the weekend wwas the extra Thursday, which was dedicated to the women of Dubai. This ladies-only day at Burj Park gave exclusive access to the full range of equipment, facilities, training sessions, expert fitness trainers and physio services. Ladies could also onsite changing pavilion with showers as well as massage services.
Registered participants can take part in a host of free fitness sessions, including Super Abs, Zumba, Body Pump, Grit Cardio and more, while mothers with kids in tow can take advantage of the extensive children’s play and fitness zones, ensuring their little ones are fully taken care of while they focus on their own 30×30 goals.
As the weekend action ramps up heading into Friday and Saturday (10-11 November), everyone – friends, families, colleagues, young and old – is invited to get energised and keep motivation levels at an all-time high across the city. Offering free access to a variety of energetic workout sessions and fitness classes, on a first come, first served basis, highlights include a ninja warrior course that will put participants’ strength and agility to the test, exciting competitions hosted by TAG FM radio DJs on 11 November from 4-6pm, as well as a picnic area to get your fill from the wide range of F&B stalls offering fresh and nutritious snacks.
As Dubai hits high gear on the Challenge, residents and visitors of all ages and fitness levels are encouraged to seize the opportunity to take positive steps towards an active lifestyle – not just for themselves, but also for family and friends. DFC has been created to motivate the people of Dubai to boost their physical activity and commit to 30 minutes of daily activity for 30 days. Running from 20 October to 18 November 2017, the Challenge encompasses all forms of activity – from beach cricket, cycling and football, to paddle boarding, team sports, walking and yoga, as well as everything in between. All are encouraged to participate individually or together with friends, family and colleagues, enjoying new and exciting ways to improve their fitness levels.
