DUBAI 3 January 2018: Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, met today with Google co-founder Sergey Brin in Dubai. Mr Brin is also president of Google’s parent company, Alphabet Inc.
After meeting with the man behind the tech giant, Sheikh Hamdan posted a picture an insightful thought of comparing the city with Google. “Today I met Sergey Brin, the co-founder of Google and president of Google’s parent company, Alphabet Inc. Sergey and his friend Larry Page founded Google from a dorm room and today the company is worth over $600 billion. Their goal is to organize the world’s knowledge and make it available for all.” Sheikh Hamdan tweeted. “Sergey and Larry’s inspiring story is similar to Dubai’s story – We both share a desire to build the future. They created the future of knowledge; we created a model city for the future of urbanism. In cooperation with them, we can contribute positively to the future of humanity.”
Minister of the UAE Cabinet Affairs and The Future, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Managing Director of Dubai Future Foundation H.E Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, also attended the meeting.
