DUBAI 25 May 2017: Private sector employees are required to attend lesser working hours by two hours per day during the holy month of Ramadan 1438 Hijri, without cutting of wages, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has announced.
The announcement came following a decree issued by Saqr Ghobash, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, in implementation of the provision of Article 65 of the Federal Law No. 8 of 1980 concerning the regulation of labour relations and its amendments.
Ghobash sent across warm regards to the UAE rulers, the citizens and all residents on the special occasion.
Earlier, the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR), has announced working hours for employees at various ministries and other federal institutions from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
The circular is issued as per Cabinet decision No.13 of 2012 in implementation of Federal Law No.11 of 2008 and its amendments, said Wam.
