DUBAI 5 November 2017: An Egyptian manager allegedly sexually assaulted an employee in his office after asking her to stay back after work, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

The 29-year-old manager, AS, asked Filipina employee, RM to stay in the office after work to finish some tasks.

“After all employees left the company, he asked me to come to his office. I suspected his intentions, so I switched on the recording in my mobile.

“He sat in front of me and started asking why I stalked a client on Facebook. I answered that was part of my job. Then he accused me of loving the man. As I denied that, he came closer and groped my body.

“As I resisted him strongly, and reminded him that he is my employer and cannot do that to me, he slapped me twice before I could run away,” testified the victim.

The victim complained to the police and supplied the mobile recording.

Confronting the manager, he denied molesting the employee but admitted to having a meeting with and slapping her.

The court will give verdict on December 17.
