ABU DHABI 12 May 2017: The highest temperature recorded over the country yesterday was 44.5 °C in Mezaira at 12:45pm, according to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS).
Even the lowest temperature recorded in the UAE yesterday morning at 20.°C in Damsa at 5:30am was just about cool.
Will it be hotter today?
According to NCMS forecast – not. But then you never know. NCMS says UAE will see a high of 43°C. It had forecast the same for yesterday too.
Below is NCMS forecast for today and tomorrow.
FRIDAY: Partly cloudy in general, and hazy at times. Light to moderate winds in general, freshening at times, causing blowing dust over the exposed areas.
Some convective clouds will develop over northern, eastern and southern areas, associated with some rain at times.
The relative humidity is likely to increase during night and early morning over some coastal areas. Sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman sea.
SATURDAY: Partly cloudy to cloudy weather in general and hazy at times. Cloud amount will increase over most areas, maybe convective clouds, associated with rainfall of different intensity over scattered areas.
Moderate winds in general, may freshen at times, especially during cloud activity and causing blowing dust over some exposed areas.
Sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.
