Receives outstanding children of martyrs
ABU DHABI 11 October 2017: His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, met with his mentor, Ahmed Ibrahim Mandi Al Tamimi, at his home in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi.
During the meeting, Sheikh Mohamed exchanged cordial greetings with Al Tamimi, one of the most distinguished teachers who contributed to the educational process in the early days of the nation’s union, said Wam.
Sheikh Mohamed expressed his delight at meeting Al Tamimi, and showing his appreciation for Tamimi’s hard work and dedication along with all distinguished teachers and educators whose work left a clear mark on so many through their enthusiasm, determination and dedication in educating future generations.
Al Tamimi welcomed Sheikh Mohamed to his home, expressing his and his family’s happiness at the visit, saying the gesture reflects His Highness’s respect and appreciation for educators, as well as the love between the people and the leadership.
Accompanying the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince during the visit were Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Dhiyab bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Transport Authority.
Mohamed receives outstanding children of martyrs
Earlier on Monday, Sheikh Mohamed received the outstanding children of martyrs in Qasr Al Bahr.
The children were accompanied by their families and Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Director of the Martyrs’ Families’ Affairs Office at the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court.
Sheikh Mohamed expressed his happiness to see the outstanding children of the martyrs and congratulated them for their excellence and distinction in scientific and knowledge achievement. His Highness urged them to continue on this course and to make more efforts and persevere for their scientific and educational achievements.
He expressed his appreciation to the families of the martyrs and said, “I am happy to meet you today, my sons and daughters and my happiness is mixed with pride for your distinction and excellence, and your efforts to achieve honourable results.”
His Highness also expressed his pride for the martyrs’ families and said, “A salute of thanks, appreciation and pride to the martyrs’ families, who planted in their children the love for the nation and diligence in science, as well as the determination to excel and fulfil the journey and sacrifices of their fathers.”
Sheikh Mohamed remarked that each one of the martyrs of the nation was a source of pride to his family and nation, and this pride was represented through those children who were striving to excel in science and knowledge. Congratulations to all for this exceptional group of children of the nation, he added.
He emphasised that the children of the martyrs were a responsibility of the nation, and they would have its full care and support.
The children and their families expressed their happiness for having met His Highness, underlining their pride and honour for their fathers, the martyrs, and said they were moving forward on the same course with dedication, loyalty and a sense of belonging to the nation, all which would strengthen its stature.

General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Sheikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development and a number of senior officials.
