No need of ‘good conduct certificate’ for work visa

DUBAI 3 April 2018: Effective 1 April 2018, the United Arab Emirates Cabinet has suspended its decision on implementing Certificate of Good Conduct as mandatory requirement for employment visas in the country.

The suspension is in effect until further notice, according to immigration specialists, Fragomen.

Fragomen said it will continue to monitor the situation in relation to practical implementation of the Cabinet’s decision by various government agencies, including the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and free zone authorities.

“We will revert with additional information as developments occur,” said a company spokesperson.
