DUBAI 29 March 2017: The exciting test series between the world’s best test teams has come to an end with the no. 1 side – India – prevailing.
Before the start of the series between India and Australia, everyone thought that it would be a huge challenge for Steve Smith and his men. Australia started really well at Pune, where India had been caught off guard. India lost very first test match by huge margin within 3 days.
After a shocking loss, Team India bounced back with an eye catching performance at Bengaluru, winning the second test match by 75 runs. Third test match marked the debut of Ranchi as a test venue. It was a batting paradise. Although, Australia were on the backfoot on the final day, but they fought and fought and denied India a victory.
Team India had been dealt a blow in the deciding test with regular skipper, Virat Kohli having to bow out due to a shoulder injury. Green tinge on the pitch made it more in Australia’s favour and adding to the woes, Australia even won the all important toss.
But out of the blue came Kuldeep Yadav and prevented the Australian side from piling up a huge first innings score. Ravindra Jadeja displayed his all round skills and once again proved why he is the number one bowler in the world. Ultimately Team India registered a memorable victory.
Althought there had been some distractions off field, but the cricket on field had been far better. DRS controversy, players mocking each other all was overshadowed with the kind of cricket played on the field and was a great series overall.
