UAE pavilion named best at India’s largest travel show

MUMBAI: The UAE pavilion at OTM – India’s biggest travel trade show, held from 21st to 23rd February in Mumbai, the largest travel market in the subcontinent- was named best pavilion in terms of design and decor, the UAE Ministry of Economy said.

Winning the recognition for the second year in a row at OTM, which is an important regional and international platform for tourism promotion, was the result of the huge efforts being made by the UAE to develop its tourism sector in line with an integral strategy that builds on combined efforts, said Mohammed Khamis Al Muhairi, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Economy and Adviser to the Minister for Tourism.

Built with an innovative and attractive design on an area of 352 square metres, and organised by the Ministry of Economy under the theme ‘Visit UAE’, the pavilion showcased tourist destinations, attractions, facilities and services in all the seven emirates of the UAE, noted Abdullah Saleh Al Hammadi, Director of the Ministry’s Tourism Department.
