UAE pilot dies in Yemen after jet technical failure

ABU DHABI 12 September 2017: The General Command of the UAE Armed Forces has announced the martyrdom of Second-Lieutenant Pilot Sultan Mohamed Ali Al Naqbi as his plane fell after sustaining a technical failure while carrying out his duties as part of the Saudi-led Arab Coalition’s ‘Operation Restoring Hope’ in support of legitimacy in Yemen.

The General Command of the UAE Armed Forces offer its condolences to the family of the martyr, praying to Almighty Allah to rest his soul in eternal peace and bestow solace on his family, said Wam.

The body of martyr Sultan Mohamed Ali Al Naqbi arrived onboard a military plane of the UAE Air Force and Air Defence at the Al Bateen Airport in Abu Dhabi on Monday.

On arrival, a special military ceremony was held at the airport to receive the body of the martyr in the presence of a number of senior officers.

Martyrdom of serviceman in Yemen

The General Command of the UAE Armed Forces also announced the martyrdom of Sergeant Nasser Gharib Al Mazrouei who succumbed to injuries he received previously while carrying out his duties with the Arab Coalition’s Operation Restoring Hope, led by Saudi Arabia, to back the legitimate government in Yemen.

The General Command of the UAE Armed Forces offered its condolences to the family of the martyr, praying to Almighty Allah to rest his soul in eternal peace and bestow solace on his family.

A special military ceremony was held on Monday for the nation’s martyr, First Sergeant Nasser Gharib Al Mazrouei, at Al Bateen Executive Airport in the presence of a number of high-ranking officers of the UAE Armed Forces.

The hero and martyr, First Sergeant Nasser Gharib Al Mazrouei, was laid to rest on Monday after succumbing to injuries he received while carrying out his duties with the Arab Coalition’s Operation Restoring Hope, led by Saudi Arabia, to back the legitimate government in Yemen.

Large crowds performed the funeral prayer for the martyr, Al Mazrouei, and laid him to rest in Kalba Cemetery.

They prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the martyr’s soul in Paradise and grant solace to his family.
