DUBAI 11 August 2017: A Cameroon guard claimed that he smuggled 2,000 Tramadol tablets upon the request of his girlfriend, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.
On May 30, AB, 33, was arrested by the airport authority for confiscating with him 2,000 Tramadol tablets.
When asked about the tablets, AB, admitted smuggling drugs but claimed that was to please his girlfriend who had asked him to do that.
Urine test proved negative to drugs.
The court will give verdict on August 28.
